The EM Group offers compliance and corporate services for companies operating in the iGaming in Curaçao, Cyprus, the Netherlands and Malta. We provide everything necessary to comply with the terms and conditions of gaming licenses in various jurisdictions. Our compliance services are related to gaming specific matters such as application for iGaming licenses and compliance in the field of regulatory matters, responsible gaming and fraud prevention as well as to financial compliance matters such as AML and financial intelligence and lastly to local compliance matters such as incorporation and management services, statutory financial administration and tax compliance. We are specialized in the setup of bank and merchant accounts and provide ongoing secretarial and administrative support.

HOW DO YOU FIT IN THE TEAM AND WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Key Function Services Director, you will report to the group’s COO. He/She will work together with all managing directors of the local management teams and heads of business lines in order to continuously exceed our clients’ expectations.
In this position, you be the go-to person for setting up and heading the Key Function department within the local EM Group office. The Key Function services are to be offered to our growing portfolio of MGA licenced clients. The role requires the individual to have a deep holistic understanding of the daily operations of both B2B and B2C operations.
The department will be built from the ground up and therefore this includes the setting up of policies, procedures and checklists whilst ensuring that proper and sufficient on the job training is provided. You will be assisted by a group of talented individuals including warranted accountants and lawyers.
The aim of the role is to be responsible to grow this department so that all our clients’ needs and requirements. Providing a sterling one-stop-shop solution is key and therefore this role will be crucial in order to meet all our client’s needs.

KEY RESULT AREAS
Leadership: To construct an annual plan and budget for the local office and show show exemplary behaviour in leadership through our 6 Pack values. You will also be required to carry out meetings with staff motivate them.
Relationship Management: Ensure the presence of a client service oriented culture and maintain close contact with key clients.
Business Development: Coach the team on commercial awareness whilst contributing to product/market development, together with the Business Development & Marketing teams.
People Management: Encourage the focus on personal development, outstanding performance and good attitude in the teams. You will be responsible for the team capacity and decide, together with the Board, on hiring or replacement of staff members. Part of the role includes the organization of the annual performance review, goal setting and promotion process for the jurisdiction.
Collaboration: Build and maintain profitable partnerships and relationships with key accounts, intermediaries and any other external stakeholders, especially with the MGA. Also collaborate with diverse internal departments: Business Development, Legal, Compliance, People and Culture, internal Finance and IT.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- Minimum of 5 years relevant professional experience in a gaming-focused local corporate service provider setup or MGA licenced company
- A minimum of 5 years management experience
- Experience within Maltese corporate law or having a financial background will be considered an asset
- Experience within a compliance function in a gaming-related industries will be considered an asset
- Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, IT, Compliance, etc
- To be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
- Fluent in English (both orally and in writing)
- Personal credibility, integrity and high moral standards
- To be result and target oriented, responsible, highly meticulous and detail-oriented and
- Excels in fast paced working environment
