EM Group offers compliance and corporate related services for companies operating in the eGaming or online industry in Curaçao, The Netherlands, Cyprus and Malta. We provide services required to comply with the applicable terms and conditions of gaming licenses in various jurisdictions. Our services are related to gaming specific matters (such as application for eGambling licenses), compliance in the field of regulatory matters, responsible gaming and fraud prevention, financial compliance, local compliance services (such as incorporation and management services) and tax compliance. We are specialized in the setup of bank- and merchant accounts and provide ongoing secretarial and administrative support.

As a Junior Compliance Officer (JCO) you will be part of the Compliance Department and Global Risk and Compliance Team. The Junior Compliance Officer supports the Compliance Team in assuring that the organization and its clients comply with all applicable laws and regulations as well as supervisory requirements and internal policies and procedures. The Junior Compliance Officer is expected to be driven and motivated and ambitious to continuously develop on a personal and professional level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Providing support in the client acceptance procedures, client file reviews and ensuring accuracy and completeness of our client files;
  • Assisting other departments with compliance related issues during the client’s life cycle;
  • Conducting transaction monitoring and reporting activities;
  • Supporting the Compliance Department on various (reoccurring) projects and other administrative tasks (client -related as well as with respect to internal procedures);
  • Supporting the Compliance Department in preparation of periodic compliance risk reports addressed to our internal and external stakeholders, amongst others through analyzing compliance related information from our internal IT- and Compliance systems;
  • Assisting the Compliance Department with developing and rolling out of internal Compliance trainings;
  • Taking active part in designated Compliance project groups (such as GDPR, privacy, PEP, FATCA or SCIRA);
  • Participating in client acceptance meetings, internal Compliance meetings, internal academies and external trainings; and
  • Following new legislation and regulatory developments.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in law, business law, tax law, business administration, economics or related field
  • Affinity with compliance, integrity, anti-money laundering, terrorism financing and knowledge of regulatory and compliance related rules and regulations
  • Problem solving oriented, pro-active and hands on mentality
  • Fluent in English
  • Self-motivated, driven and a real team player
  • Strongly communicative and thorough in prioritizing tasks
