Michela Mifsud joined EM Group in Malta in April 2021 as a Legal Account Manager.
In this role, she assists with the corporate and legal affairs of a portfolio of clients, either active or starting up in the online gaming and e-business sector.
Michela read law at the University of Malta and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2016. She also obtained a Master of Advocacy in 2017 with a research project entitled ‘The EU Directive on the Protection of Trade Secrets – A Critical Appraisal.’ She was admitted to the bar in March 2018 and is a Malta Chamber of Advocates member.
Michela has been working in the corporate and financial services field since 2016. Before joining EM Group, she was an in-house legal associate at the audit and accountancy firm PKF Malta. As part of the legal and financial services team, she specialized in corporate, banking and compliance matters. She also assisted private high-net-worth individuals in the investment immigration sphere.
To further build upon her knowledge and enhance her specialism in the gaming regulatory framework, Michaela obtained an accreditation in iGaming.
