RESPONSIBILITIES

Karin van der Velde joined our team in December 2020 as a Legal Account Manager in Curaçao.

She is responsible for a wide variety of corporate clients. Her clients are diverse not only in terms of their target markets, or where their offices are located, but also in relation to the stage of development that the company has reached.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Karin obtained three master’s degrees in the Netherlands at the Leiden University and the Open University: business process management and IT, Latin America studies and teaching. These degrees have provided her with a strong knowledge base across a range of different areas.

Prior to joining EM Group, she was a consultant at BearingPoint Caribbean, a software development company in Curaçao. She worked on several projects at the company, relating to tax and automatic exchange of information. Her previous experience also includes more than three years at Rijkswaterstaat, the government agency.
